Grant Description

The Ballard County Chamber of Commerce Small Business Micro-Grant is a $1,000 annual award presented to a local small business as part of our ongoing commitment to economic growth and entrepreneurship in our community. This grant is intended to support business expansion, equipment purchases, marketing efforts, or other business-related needs that contribute to the vitality and sustainability of Ballard County.

Eligibility Requirements

• Business must be located and operating in Ballard County, Kentucky.
• Fewer than 15 employees (full-time or part-time).
• Actively operating for at least 12 consecutive months.
• Must be a member of the Chamber of Commerce.
• Only one application per business per year.
• Previous recipients must wait three years before reapplying.

Award Amount

$1,000 – Only one grant will be awarded each calendar year.

Selection Criteria

• Community impact.
• Business need and proposed use of funds.
• Sustainability and growth potential.
• Overall clarity and completeness of the application.
Disbursement of Funds
• Grant recipient will give receipts to Chamber for reimbursement. Recipient has 1 year
from award announcement day to spend funds.

Important Dates

Applications open: July 1st
Submission deadline: September 1st
Award announced: October 21st at Annual Dinner
